Family dies in fatal pre-Christmas accident in Zacatecas; A drunken soldier could be the cause

 Fresnillo, Zacatecas.- Before Christmas, a family of five suffered a spectacular accident in which a soldier in an apparent drunken state was allegedly the cause.

In that mishap, four people lost their lives and a 13-year-old girl was orphaned and injured.

According to local media, the tragic accident occurred on the night of December 24 on the road that goes from Fresnillo to the community of San José de Lourdes.

A car carrying five people crashed into a van carrying a man.

After the mishap at the scene, a man and a woman died, as well as one of their daughters. While the other two young women were taken seriously to a hospital to receive medical attention.

However, during the early morning it was said that one of the young women died while being treated at the hospital.

With only one survivor left, it is a 13-year-old girl, who was orphaned.

The next day, Zello's Facebook page, Night Witness, shared a message from an alleged relative of the accident victims.

The publication indicated that the cause of the crash in which four people lost their lives was an element of the Mexican Army.

According to the unofficial message, the alleged soldier was also taken to a hospital, where more Army elements arrived for him.

"In the early morning the soldiers went for him to the IMSS and it only resulted with a few scrapes and they took him with impunity!!!

He killed 4 members of a family leaving a 13-year-old girl orphaned and all for drunk driving," the publication states.
