E. Willard Miller Biography, Networth, Children

E. Willard (Will) Miller is the son of the late Archie H. and Tessie B. Master Miller. He was born in the city of Turkey and married Ruby Skinner (Miller) on June 27, 1941. 

Education

E. Willard Miller studied in Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a B.S. degree in 1937. He went further to obtain M.A. from the University of Nebraska in 1939; and a Ph.D. from Ohio State in 1942. 

Religious life

E. Willard Miller was born in a Christian family and was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Boalsburg where he served on the consistory and financial committees.

E. Willard Miller began his teaching career at Case Western University. In 1944, he and Ruby (his wife) were recruited as geographers by the Office of Strategic Services in Washington D.C. Willard Miller received an award of merit for his services in the war effort. 

In 1945, Dean Edward Steidle of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Penn State, recruited him to be a member of the college, as head of the department of geography.

In 1964, he was appointed Assistant Dean for Resident Instruction and in 1972 was named Associate Dean for Resident Instruction, a position he held until his retirement in 1980.

Willard Miller's wife and children

E. Willard Miller married Ruby Skinner (Miller) on June 27, 1941.  Apparently, the union was blessed with 3 children.

E. Willard Miller wrote several books amongst which are: Hazardous and Toxic Wastes: Technology, Management and Health Effects; Manufacturing : A Study of Industrial Location; Management of Radioactive Materials and Wastes: Issues and Progress; Water Quality and Availability : A Reference Handbook

His death

E. Willard Miller died on November 15, 2002.
